Fee's, Discounts & Refund Policy

The South Adelaide Committee determines membership fees each year as part of the annual budget-setting process.

Payment Plan

(District Only) Where a lump sum payment is proving difficult, arrangements can be made by contacting the General Manager at gm@southadelaidebasketball.com.au. Any payment plan agreement must pay the fees by the third of the current playing season. Failure to meet the agreed payment plan agreement could result in NO PLAY.

 

Discount Policies

a. Multiple children in one family
Parents with multiple children playing will have the following discount: The second child will receive $50, and all further siblings will receive a $50 deduction (per season) from the above rates. 

* Multiple-player discounts do not apply for SDJBL Domestic players.

b. Players/Parents who are head coaches

 Eligible for coaches’ discount:

  • Players who are appointed as Head Coaches of a junior district team will have their membership fees waived.
  • Parents appointed to Head Coach of a junior district team will nominate one child to have their fees waived.
  • A code will be required from the club to have fee waived at the time of registration in Basketball Connect.

Ineligible for coaches discount:

  • Assistant coaches are not eligible for a coach discount
  • Coaches of Domestic (SDJBL) do not qualify for coach discounts

c. State players

  • Players from South Adelaide selected as the ten who travel and participate for a State Team that participates at the Australian Junior Championships run by Basketball Australia in U16, U18, and U20 teams will be eligible to have the following preseason and championship season fees waived.
  • A code will be required before registration.

District players:

Fill in players- New Club Policy Pending

SDJBL Domestic players filling in for District competition:

  • Up to 3 games – no additional fees
  • 4-7 games – $50
  • 8 or more games – half-season District fees
 
 

Refunds

Refunds will be prorated based on games played for the following exceptional circumstances.

  • Medical reasons for the refund must be emailed to the General Manager at gm@southadelaidebasketball.com.au and substantiated by a Doctor’s Certificate.
  • Relocation—This may apply to families relocating to a residence outside of a 40 km zone from Marion Stadium. The refund application must be made via email to the General Manager gm@southadelaidebasketball.com.au
