A Non-playing Member of the Club shall be any person over the age of 18 who supports the club's objectives, has paid the annual fee set down by the Club, and complies with the requirements hereinafter provided for admission as a member of the Club.

Membership entitles the member to:

* Vote at any Special or Annual General Meeting
* Hold any office within the club
* Be elected as members of the Committee
* Receive any notice required to be given members.

Positions for election this year are –

• Vice President (2 year term)

• Secretary (2 year term)

• Junior Program Manager (2 years)

To be eligible for election to the committee, a member must be:

Over the age of 18 years.

Not an employee of the Club.

Not precluded by the Associations Incorporation Act 1985.

Not otherwise precluded in this constitution.

All nomination forms for positions shall be in writing and signed by the candidate, his/her proposer, and seconder (All must be financial members)are to be submitted to the club secretary at secretary@southadelaidebasketball.com.au  by COB 27 October 2024

VOTING

Until a Junior Playing Member attains the age of 18 years, the parents/guardians of a Junior Playing Member enjoy the benefits of membership except that only the parent/guardian recorded on the registration form (or, if more than one, only the parent/guardian whose name first appears on the registration form) shall be entitled to vote at a Special or Annual General Meeting; and no matter whether a parent/guardian is separately eligible for membership in their own right and no matter how many Junior Playing Member registration forms upon which the name of a junior player’s parent/guardian is recorded, no person is entitled to more than one vote at a Special or Annual General Meeting.

Non-Playing / Financial Life Members

Financial Senior Playing Members (over the age of 18 years)are entitled to vote
