South Adelaide Basketball Club operates as a not-for-profit organisation which relies heavily on the generosity of volunteers to be able to deliver a full range of basketball activities. Get involved in a great family environment while helping to deliver the sport of basketball to our local community. We are always looking for more people to help out no matter how much they are able to contribute.
Being a part of the South Adelaide Panthers basketball family, we actively encourage all our members to volunteer to help the Club in some way. Roles you can assist with:
Coaches – the Club is always keen to acquire new coaches. If you have any prior experience or are interested in coaching please let the Club know. All coaches are required to fulfil Basketball SA’s Coach Registration requirements including a police check.
Team Managers – each team has a nominated team manager who should be approached as your first point of contact. Their role is to manage the team and to liaise with parents, players and the coach.
Scoring – each player is expected to provide a scorer (usually a parent/guardian) who will be rostered to score via the team manager. On average, when spread fairly between a team, you can score as little as 3 times each season. For away games you are responsible for the clock and arrow, and for home game you fill out the score sheet.
Committee/Sub-Committee – our club is run by a dedicated team of volunteers who fill rolls on the club committee and on various sub-committees, including Finance, Communications and Sponsorship & Fundraising.
Sponsorship – if you have a business (or an association with a business) and wish to take advantage of opportunities our club can offer in terms of promoting your business to our 800+ members and their families please contact our Sponsorship & Fundraising Coordinator email@example.com about sponsorship packages.
